What are sports socks good for?
A lot goes on in your shoe when you're doing sport: lots of movement, lots of sweat, lots of friction. The right socks make all the difference here. From hiking socks and running socks to ski socks or sneaker socks – our products are perfectly adapted to the challenges of each sport:
- A reinforced heel and toe area makes the hiking socks especially robust.
- Our compression sports socks support circulation.
- The padding in our ski socks keeps you going on the slopes all day long.
- Tennis socks are the perfect all-rounders for sport and leisure.
- The ventilation channels on the surface of our running socks keep your feet cool and performing at their best.
What are our sports socks made of?
Not every material is suitable for every sport. That's why we've developed the perfect mix for each of our different sports socks:
- The hiking socks are made of 53% polyacrylic, 30% wool (merino), 16% polyamide and 1% elastane.
- The compression socks are made of 58% polyamide, 34% polyester and 8% elastane.
- With our ski socks, this mix gets you down the slopes: 76% polyacrylic, 12% wool, 11% polyamide and 1% elastane.
- You keep your feet cool while running with 74% polyamide (recycled), 24% polyamide, and 2% elastane.
- Our tennis socks and our high sports socks are made of 73% organic* cotton, 18% polyester (recycled), 7% polyamide and 2% elastane.

Why are regular socks unsuitable for sport?
The perfectly matched material of our sports socks keeps your feet fresh, ready to perform and dry. Depending on the sport, they're specially padded, breathable or offer compression. That's why regular everyday socks aren't suitable for sport.
Are the sports socks suitable as support stockings?
With a pressure value of 1.78 kPa or 13.3 mmHg, our compression socks fall into category C and therefore offer light compression for your legs. Support stockings usually have a similar effect. Very important: our sports socks with compression are meant to give you light support during sport – they can't be worn to prevent thrombosis.
Do sports socks need special care?
Sports socks have to stand up to special challenges when you wear them, but they can be washed completely normally. Just follow our washing instructions and wash your socks at a maximum of 40 degrees. That's the only way to enjoy the perfect fit for a long time. If your sports socks are very dirty, you can use a hygiene rinse or soak them before washing. You should avoid harsh products like fabric softener. The same goes for the tumble dryer.
