Our footprint.

We produce basics, and in doing so we leave traces - in the office, during production, and in transport. These traces cannot be prevented, but they can be reduced. Here, we show you where we are already doing well and where we still need to improve.

Our footprint.

We produce basics, and in doing so we leave traces - in the office, during production, and in transport. These traces cannot be prevented, but they can be reduced. Here, we show you where we are already doing well and where we still need to improve.

This is what we have done so far.

100% green electricity in our three offices

Shipping with DHL GoGreen

Transport 2025: 96% ship, 0.5% truck, 3.5% airplane

CO2 calculation: Companies and products

We set CO2 emissions reduction targets in accordance with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

Internal travel guideline: Train first

We still need to work on this.

No take-back program: Recycling, second-hand

No electric car yet in the retail department

Reduce air freight

Reduction of our Scope 3 emissions along the supply chain

In our calculations for 2022, the emissions from our boxer shorts amounted to 1.24 kg CO₂e. The increase from 1.24 to 3.3 kg CO₂e is due to an updated and expanded calculation methodology that takes additional life cycle phases (e.g., use and disposal) into account, resulting in more comprehensive emissions reporting. The calculations for 2022 were carried out by ConClimate, while we are currently working with Carbonfact, a provider specializing in the textile industry.

If you want to improve, you first need to know where you stand. Carbonfact helped us determine both our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) and the product carbon footprint (PCF) for 2024.

What are Scope 1-3?

The CO2 footprint according to the GHG (Greenhouse Gas) Protocol divides a company's emissions into three categories (Scope 1-3):

Scope 1: Direct emissions from sources that a company owns or controls, such as exhaust from company-owned vehicles or emissions from company-owned factories.

Scope 2: Indirect emissions generated by the production of purchased electricity, heat, or cooling that the company uses for its operations.

Scope 3: All other indirect emissions generated throughout the company’s entire value chain, including emissions arising from the production of products by suppliers and from employees commuting to work.

Why reduction instead of compensation?

Quite simply: Offsetting can be one approach - but our focus is on addressing our emissions directly. To do this, we examine where the most emissions arise in our processes and what opportunities there are to reduce them step by step.

What are our reduction targets?

As a relatively small company, we set the bar high. Together with ConClimate, we developed our CO₂ reduction targets according to the methodology of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) - a science-based framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with the 1.5-°C goal of the Paris Agreement.

What this means for us:

  • Reducing our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 42% by 2030.
  • Working to reduce our Scope 3 emissions throughout the value chain.
  • Long-term goal: Net Zero by 2045, meaning around 90% fewer emissions across all scopes (base year 2022). 90% is the reduction threshold the SBTi specifies for Net Zero targets.

Our first steps toward this:

  • Switching to electric vehicles in our fleet.
  • Using renewable district heating at our site.
  • Engaging with partners in the supply chain to promote the use of renewable energy.
